The Middle Remote Pro is the bigger version of the Middle Remote: the same layout and the same direct connection to Middle Control, with a Hall-effect joystick, 12 encoders, 8 RGB buttons and a network connection, so it can sit wherever the operator sits. Connect it over Ethernet or USB-C and it shows up in Middle Control within seconds, no extra software needed. From one controller you move the gimbal and adjust the camera.
What’s on it
-
Hall-effect 3-axis joystick — move it to pan and tilt, twist it to zoom or roll. Contactless magnetic sensors instead of potentiometers: more precision, no drift, no wear. A push button on top triggers any action you map to it.
-
12 rotary encoders — iris, ISO, focus, white balance, tint, contrast, saturation, black level and shutter can all sit under your fingers at the same time as the pan / tilt and zoom speeds. No layers, no page switching. Pressing an encoder works as a button too.
-
4 OLED displays — three values each: the live value of every encoder in real time. Press a mapped control and the display shows the name of the action.
-
8 RGB buttons — map them to camera numbers and they double as tally lights, green on preview and red on air; or to actions like Auto Focus, Auto Iris, Zebra and False Colors. A sticker pack is included to label them.
One cable, or the classic way
Over PoE Ethernet, one network cable carries power and data: run it from your PoE switch to the front-of-house desk, the shading position or the back of the truck, and Middle Control finds the Remote Pro on the network by itself (DHCP by default, fixed IP if you prefer). No PoE switch? Use the included 12 V power supply, with Ethernet or with USB-C. Over USB-C it works exactly like the original Remote; USB-C carries data only, so keep the 12 V supply connected.
Works with your cameras
The Remote Pro controls any camera, gimbal or PTZ head that Middle Control supports: Sony, Blackmagic, Canon, Lumix, Panasonic, OBSBOT, Z CAM and more over the network, and DJI RS gimbals through an APC-R. Check the compatibility page for your setup.
If you use a Blackmagic ATEM, the OLED values stay in sync with the switcher, so the Remote Pro always shows what the ATEM has. In multi-operator setups (Middle Control Pro), each Remote Pro can be locked to its own camera; its camera buttons then switch between that operator’s cameras without affecting anyone else.

Built to be expanded
Aluminium and walnut body, 1 kg, made for daily studio use. Like the original, the Remote Pro is built from interchangeable MakePro X tiles, developed with MakePro X in Germany. Add the optional Glue software and more tiles and it grows into a full console: motorized faders for audio, more encoders and buttons for lights or projectors.
Middle Control is free and runs on macOS 13 or later and, as a public beta, on Windows 10 and 11, with the Remote Pro over USB-C or the network.
